What I appreciated most was the wonderfully descriptive passages, which transport readers back to those orange groves, the clean, crisp air, and even the scent of the ripening fruit. The characters are perfectly drawn, especially Anya, who, although a strong, independent, and intelligent woman of her time, still understands her need for the strength, comfort, and security that a man like Joseph could bring into her life. This is a beautiful love story, and the author perfectly captures the sensuality of the romantic scenes. * I lost myself in this story. The main characters drew me in. The tension kept escalating. They danced around each other until they couldn’t anymore. This book is more than a romance. It’s a love story about two people who fall in love and are forced to endure painful moments, yet their love for each other brings them hope and joy.
*I bought this at a book signing and gifted it as a valentines gift to my wife. The tension build up kept me going and the conclusion did not let me down.
